Where's the jobs....

More good news today. Although we are now below 10% of working Americans unemployed we have found that number to possably be incorrect since some people who have been unemployed for over a year have just give up. Where is the billions of dollars and all the jobs. The rich are getting richer and the poor is getting poorer. With the national disasters in New Orleans and the coast you would feel that thousands and thousands of workers are being employed. You would think that with the need for a cheaper form of energy that companies would be ramping up to create more solar panels and wind turbines and hiring more people. You would think with the demand for more natural gas gars that companies would be hiring thousands and plants would be retrofitted to start mass producing these types of cars. You would think that with the invent of natural gas cars that their would be natural gas stations popping up all over the country. why may you ask are none of these things happening? Becasue our goverment does not support these measures, industry does not have the investment in the industries which could save us millions of gallons of oil, and our dependence on foreighn oil. These are the answers to our problems but our goverment will not listen nor will they act to fix these problems. You can't buy a natural gas car from the midwest to east coast. You can't get elecric cars. You can't get companies to even install the natural gas hook ups in your homes which would enable you use natural gas. Where are the wind turbines which we could put on our homes to save electricity and sell back to co ops. Big business and industry does not want us doing these things. Its time we took our country back, it is time we started working with common sense approaches to saving our way of life and our society.

Is anyone listening.........

Now we have entered a time in our country where government wants to find someone to blame for their failures........society wants to find someone for their failures.....banks want to find someone for their failures..........and no one wants to just admit that we were greedy...we pushed our limits financially both personally as individual citizens and as a country. we are in debt as a society up to our eye balls and on one wants to take responsability for themselves. Everyone want to blame Goldman Sachs because they bet against us.....and got rich. Just because we did fail as a society and they one then they must be the bad guys.......bull.......If you want to walk across six lanes of interstate and not get hit......I'll take bets on your demise........

The rich get richer.........and the government turns a blind eye

According to an article by the New York Times "in 2009, the government audited just one in four of the largest corporations, lower than any rate in more than 20 years In much of the last decade, as corporate profits soared and the number of wealthy Americans increased sharply, the I.R.S. periodically decreased the level of scrutiny it directed at individual taxpayers at the top of the income scale. Since 2005, the study reports, the number of hours devoted to audits of the largest companies fell 33 percent, while the hours spent auditing small businesses increased 30.4 percent and rose 12.6 percent for midsize businesses. In the same period, the number of I.R.S. audits of large corporations fell to 3,675 from 4,693, a decrease of 21.7 percent." At a time in our country when corruption and corporate irresponsability is at its highest our government seems to be doing its least to get it under control. The richest companies and the riches people are under the least scrutiny in our society today. With small business and average Americans struggling it is time that we take a look at how these companies made all their money. How these hedge funds, these banks, these stock companies, how these wealthies of the country made their money. Those of us on the bottom know how they made their bucks.....on our backs. If we cannot count on our government to have our backs and to handle the rich, the movers and shakers of our society in check......then who will?

Show me the money........

Have you been watching the stock market lately....people who have money are investing again and the market is almost up to 11,000. The government says that things are turning around and that recovery is on the way. My question....where is the money? Where is the all the billions we used to bail out all these failing banks, failing car companies failing investment corporations. Where is the money, if we are not getting it here on the bottom rung, if we are not seeing it in the form of new loans for small businesses, if we are not seeing it in the way of new construction and reinvestment into the communities and society then where is the money? General Motors says that it will be able to pay back its loans sooner than it thought...then where is the money? If the people we loaned all the money to are paying it back shouldn't the government be making money, shouldn't we have less debt? I am just the average guy but it seems that if people are paying you back then our government should not be increasing in debt but rather reducing our debt. If the rich are doing so much better, if stocks are on the rise and investments are up.....where is the money. We did to start holding our elected officials accountable and asking the question ....where is the money?

Have we lost America..........Americans.........

What has happended to our country? We were a people of thinkers of creative people who constructed a society of free thinkers who became self reliant and no doubt the most powerful country in the world. What has happened to us? we have allowed talk show host on the radio and on the television to fill our minds with lies and half truths, we have stopped searching for answers and started searching for channels. when we find the channel which suits our opinions, our ideas then these are the people we listen to and who we follow.....its time to take back our minds, to read the bills, the legislation, the contracts, the constitution and know what we stand for instead of being told what we stand for............have we lost our America.....where are all the Americans

Richard Shelby Senate Hold Puts Spotlight On Defense Contractor Ties

Sen. Richard Shelby's (R-Ala.) decision to place a "blanket hold" on all presidential nominations until a pair of billion-dollar earmarks for his home state are fast-tracked has reignited the debate over the parliamentary tactics being deployed by the Republican Party. It also has thrust into the spotlight the clout that major defense contractors often wield on the political processhttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/02/05/shelbys-blanket-hold-puts_n_450934.html

proof for the pudding!

Lame Duck Presidency....

Now that we have lost the ability to get things done in Washington without the conservatives.....what now...an example is what we are already seeing....elected officicals holding hostage to 70 of President Obama's appointments! do you really think that this is just a bump in the road? This is the political atmosphere for the next 3 years......"can't we all just get along"...lets get real.....the number of elected officials in Washington who really have the best interest of the American people at hand are numbered on two hands.......if not one....this is an election year!.....they are all looking for their few moments to prove to their constituents that they are against the status quo.....no rubbing anyone raw now........its all baby kissing..hand shaking.....its a "lame duck" presidency I am afraid for the president.....and 3 more years of hard times for blue collar workers!

It takes more than 60!

Well here we go again! The democrats had their opportunity to unite for the good of the average American and get something accomplished which will actually help the blue collar worker in the long run.....but instead they are argueing among themselves...divided by the partisanship within their own party. Is it any wonder that the democrats of Massachusetts could not reelect a democrat to feel Senator kennedy's seat. It looks like the tea party and the independents are going to grow even more and we are going to a country of a 3 party system....what does that mean....dead lock.....lame duck presidentcys.......some day will get our act together ....after everything has fell completely apart.....the blue collar worker can't carry these guys forever

Bl03bue collar failure.......

So who's fault is this big melt down of our society? Is it the guys on Wall street making bucks for their investors, their groups, their banks, their portfolio's. I do not think so. This failure is deeper than that. Those guys we expect to be like wolves, preying on the sick the weak, thats how the market has survived, thats how the strong companies have succeeded. What this present state is .....is a failure of the blue collar worker. Hear me out. We have become complascent with our 401k's and 403b's, and our health care and pension plans. We have got use to the security of our union's and our work groups. We failed to remember that what made us great as a country, as a workforce was the continued diligience to make ourselves more valuable than what they were paying us. to make our products better, for our creations to be of such reliabilty, of such craftmanship that no one in the world could reproduce what we did. To make ourselves irreplaceable, and our products the same. We guaranteed the success of the company and the company success gave us security. We let down ourselves by believing that we could continue to demand the best but not put out the best. We are no longer indispencible, we can be replaced, and the products we made can be replicated cheaper. We have not held our legislators, our leaders, our senators, our congressman as we once did to the loyalty of the blue collar worker we have lost our influence and our strength in this country. In protecting ourselves as individuals we have failed to protect our livilihood, our brothers and sisters, and our country. we have lost our innovation, our entrepeunership. When we regain all these things we again will be strong as a country.
